The GoodI get this was erotica. I get that this is a romance. I like the elements of using a bond between people to create an army (of sorts) to fight a villain. All of that was good.
The Bad
However, when a book is 90% sex and 10% story, there's something wrong. I felt like half of the sex scenes could have been cut and more story added to explain the elves, the vampires, and the feud between them. I wanted to know more about the Grimoire (or is it vampeen? It kept switching between the two terms, and I'm not even sure which is correct or if both are).
The Review
This was the start of a series, where each book is about a different trinity. It didn't feel complete though. I felt like it needed more of an ending. It needed more depth, more story, more... Just more. Well... Less sex and more... everything else.

I received this ARC a few years ago and just got around to reviewing it, but I am sorry I didn't read it sooner! This book is the first of the Trinity Series where Beth Siegel finds there really are Vampires, Elves, and horrible things that do bump in the night! Working two jobs and going to college, she never knew what Fate had planned for her! I read so fast that I finished way to soon and can't wait to read the sequel!
I love reading a good M/M/F and although this story only had a brief m/m touching scene it was a good story. Beth has lusted after Luke and Zach for weeks and when they come together it's intense, explosive and oh so hot. Beth accepts the situation remarkably well, almost too well. Although the story was quick it moved along well this book is the first book in this series and I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series. This is my first time reading this author and I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
Have a hard time reviewing this book, it's well written and love the interaction between the characters but I also loved the story line here and we never really get into it. I think this has great promise not only as a erotic romance but a novel also. The author is a great "read" and I feel involved in her books but this one felt lacking because I want to know more about and become involved in the "novel"
I'm a person who gets distracted by poor editing and grammar- no matter how interesting the story or hot and steamy the sex. You can tell that this author is more polished and professional than many in this genre because she has none of those issues. Once you add in the attractive and likeable characters having very hot sex you have a hard time putting this book down. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
Hot and explosive! I love the chemistry between Beth, Zachariah and Luke. I always love a good story with sex mixed in, not the other way around. And Tracy delivers with this one. Vampire's? Love them, especially when Tracy creates them dark and edgy. Love, love, love Zachariah. (Luke's not bad, either.)
With this one you get it all intense story, darkly urban setting, intelligent woman, hot men, molten sex and just enough violence to keep it edgy. Kudos, Tracy!
Another great series from Tracy Cooper-Posey, she has quickly become one of my fav writers!!! The characters are written so well you just fall in love with them and start cheering for them within the first chapter. The relationships are complex and yet simple, the story well thought out and executed. I really enjoy the fact that all of the women in Tracy's books are strong women more than capable of standing on their own two feet, the men don't "complete" their lives, they "compliment" them, making them all the better. Can't wait for the rest of the series!
This story is very rushed and if the writer would go back and fill in all of the gaping holes and questions, would then be a great start to another series. Character one is Beth, who is struggling to get her business degree and holding down 2 jobs to do it. Character 2 is Zach, who comes into the bar where Beth is working for months and then suddenly disappears and then reappears? Character 3 is Luke, who comes into the college library every day that Beth is working and watches her while he is reading massive amounts of books? As Beth is running home at the end of a shift one night she is attacked by creatures, but the 2 men come to her rescue. Then the scene quickly changes again....the actual story would be great if it did not jump from scene to scene so quickly and let the characters in the story develop personalities the reader could identify with.
The Good
